An integrated user interface providing unified access to intelligent environments and personal media

Published: 08 November 2004 Publication History

Abstract

This paper describes the user interface and interaction model of a system for Personal Environment Control -- the PECo System.
The Personal Environment Controller (PECo) is a digital assistant system that provides the user with a unified facility for organizing and accessing the different media repositories at his disposal and for direct manipulation of his physical environment (projectors, TV sets, hi-fi systems, Lights, shutters, etc.).
