OPT: online person tracking system for context-awareness in wireless personal network

Published: 26 May 2006 Publication History

Abstract

Context aware systems are the order of the day. With the advent of low cost sensor networks and systems ambient intelligence is becoming more and more sought after feature. In this work, we present an Online Person Tracking (OPT) system for indoor environment which is aimed to provide location information to the context aware applications in Personal Network. This work briefly explains our implementation of an OPT. Using a few motes we would be able to find an approximate location of a person. This is used in the larger framework of providing a context aware service to the user. We demonstrate working prototype of our system.
