ABSTRACT
User Interface design within the Rational Unified Process (RUP) includes a conceptual design phase. This paper establishes a general framework for conceptual design, which relates to the RUP and other OO design methods. Enhancements to the RUP to provide better support for conceptual design are developed with reference to a case study. CONDUIT, a method which utilises these enhancements is then described.
