ABSTRACT
People can estimate an approximate age of others by looking at their faces. This is because faces have certain elements by which people can judge a person's age. If computers can extract and manipulate such information, wide variety of applications for entertainment and security purpose would be expected.

Facial expression recognition considering individual differences in facial structure and texture
Facial expression recognition (FER) plays an important role in human–computer interaction. The recent years have witnessed an increasing trend of various approaches for the FER, but these approaches usually do not consider the effect of individual ...
Facial expression recognition based on shape and texture
In this paper, an efficient method for human facial expression recognition is presented. We first propose a representation model for facial expressions, namely the spatially maximum occurrence model (SMOM), which is based on the statistical ...
3D facial geometry reconstruction using patch database
SIGGRAPH '16: ACM SIGGRAPH 2016 Posters3D facial shape reconstruction in the wild environments is an important research task in the field of CG and CV. This is because it can be applied to a lot of products, such as 3DCG video games and face recognition. One of the most popular 3D facial ...
