ABSTRACT
The University of Florida Faculty Support Center (FSC) was created to train faculty to use computers and to assist faculty in development of instructional software. The results of a 1981 faculty survey, conducted by a UF Task Force on Uses of Computing in Instruction, highlighted the need for such training. The Faculty Support Center is operated jointly by the Center for Instructional and Research Computing Activities (CIRCA), the academic computing consulting unit on campus, and the Office of Instructional Resources (OIR), the agency charged with supporting faculty development.
