ABSTRACT
This paper will explain Wayne State's consulting services vis a vis user needs. Computing centers are having to play many roles as it becomes evident that more than systems programmers are necessary to give diverse services to a larger population. Technical writers who can write clearly, consultants who can deal with all types of users, documentation which is accessible and up-to-date--all these and more are crucial if we are going to try and meet user needs.
