ABSTRACT
Many College and University computing centers are taxed to their limits when it comes to providing quality service within constrained budgets. This paper discusses a project taking place at a branch campus which is designed to increase student productivity by off-loading some of the work, which had normally required the use of the main computer system, to existing microcomputer systems. A discussion of the advantages, disadvantages, and success of the project is presented.
