A typesetting system for university computers

Published:16 November 1980Publication History

ABSTRACT

At SUNY Albany the computing center has developed a typesetting system whose major user is the university publications office. These people who have to turn out fancy brochures, catalogs, course lists and alumni directories need high quality printed material. Only recently have computer systems gained any respect for their ability to produce a quality printed product. The widespread use by publications people at our institution is a testament to the typographic quality of the system.
