Abstract
This paper is an introduction to the portable ALGOL 68 implementation currently developed at the Technical University of Berlin. An overview over the compiler and the other system components is given and the facilities for separate compilation and precompilation are described. Finally, the current state of the implementation is sketched.

Algol 68 as an implementation language for portable interpreters
Proceedings of the Strathclyde ALGOL 68 conferenceBy making use of its advanced and highly expressive facilities, Algol 68 can be used to implement interpretive language processors with an unusual degree of conceptual clarity and machine independence. A translation grammar for ALGOL 68
AFIPS '70 (Spring): Proceedings of the May 5-7, 1970, spring joint computer conferenceIn this paper, a translation grammar is presented for a major subset of the ALGOL 68 programming language. This translation is from ALGOL 68 into an intermediate language that was originally designed for an EULER programming system. It appears that many ...
