A study based on the value system for the interaction of the multi-tiered supply chain under the trend of e-business

Published: 15 August 2005 Publication History

Abstract

Based on the concepts of the value chain and the value system, a systematic procedure was developed to analyze the multi-tiered supply chain industry. The value chain and value system in the selected TFT-LCD industry were analyzed to identify the critical value activities. Then, we probed into the supply chain integration strategy to plan the future business strategies, which were divided into the upward and the downward integration activities. The interaction among the enterprises in the industry supply chain was investigated by a selected process analysis approach to draw up the appropriate supply chain processes. Finally, several simulation models were established to evaluate the performance, and the results show that the analytical procedures this paper proposed could significantly helpful for the business in TFT-LCD industry to develop their business strategy plans for the future.
