The extension of economic man hypothesis and the determination of behavior borders: thoughts derived from internet background

Abstract

Modern soviet is an information society, whose most obvious characteristics are Internet and the application of computers. Economic decisions and transactions are made with the help of internet Great charges can be found in moral values, behavior principles and arrangements while Internet technology has considerably reduced transaction cost, human tendency of opportunism and pursuit for benefits while avoiding harms can brig about intentionally induced behaviors with greater ease, which can be attributed to the concealing nature of economic actions and lack of supervision of pursuit for economic gains. As the Internet prevails, two points fall into the study on economic theories; how to define the economic man's pattern of behavior and how to reduce the negative external effect of economic actions, this paper focuses on the extension of economic man hypothesis and its effect on the determination of economic behavior borders as the Internet booms.
