Personal data protection in electronic business

Abstract

The paper review the personal data protection law, the right to privacy and related torts in cyberspace, the legal proposals have been suggested, it is important to construct a legal system for protection of the right to privacy. The data protection laws and regulations of the countries in northern America and Europe have been investigated. The Concept of privacy was analyzed in detail, the legislation of privacy protection in our civil law was discussed. The paper confirms that personal data protection must realize by three ways, they are technical protection, management protection and legal protection. The protection of privacy is the necessary base for development of electronic business. This article puts forward a legislation proposal for the legal protection system concerning the privacy in cyberspace by drawing on the experience of other countries and taking our present condition into account.
