Techniques de couplage de bureaux: Ambient-Desktop comme illustration

Published: 31 May 2005 Publication History

Abstract

Coupling interaction resources is key to ubiquitous computing by permitting users to construct their own interactive spaces. In this article, we examine the requirements related to coupling and we propose a set of middleware techniques (I-AM and the Contextors infrastructure) to support coupling between the interaction resources of conventional workstations. We illustrate the application of these techniques with Ambient-Desktop, a desktop that complies to the look and feel of current graphical desktops extended with novel HCI features for addressing coupling.
