ABSTRACT
Semantic annotation in the biomedical domain raises the problem of classifying texts with large-scale taxonomies, a problem sometimes referred to as extreme classification. In this presentation, we will give an overview of this problem and the main solutions proposed, with a focus on textual collections and the BioASQ challenge.
